AarogyaSeva provides a platform for all sectors of the healthcare industry to serve patients in local marginalized communities. Many marginalized communities, due to lack of transportation, lack of government resources, armed conflict, and other obstacles are unable to access any healthcare throughout the course of their lives AarogyaSeva is bringing quality healthcare to those who need it the most. We have reached over 100000 beneficiaries so far and hope to touch 1 million lives.
We are working round-the-clock to meet health needs emerging due to COVID-19 and the toll it takes on people’s emotional and mental health which are not being adequately addressed at present. As an organisation, the funds raised will help support the unforeseen demand that we are trying to meet and sustain our nationwide toll-free mental health helpline that is offering support, guidance and counselling services to people during these tough times of pandemic, quarantine and isolation.
Our participation in TCS World 10K this year also has a focus on women’s health, hygiene and wellness and several projects in the months to come. Our first International Conference on Women’s Health and Menstrual Hygiene held in March was the first step in taking this movement forward in 2020. Follow up workshops, continuing menstrual health advocacy and education in government schools and communities, breast and cervical cancer screening for over 5000 women using novel, low cost, point of care technologies in collaboration with institutions like AIIMS are some of the initiatives we are raising funds for through this run.
